About this project
Synaptic is an independent software engineering project, built and maintained by one person to explore real-time collaborative editing and AI-grounded document search. It is not operated as a commercial product, and it is not backed by a company.
Data you enter
If you sign in, authentication is handled by Clerk, and document content you create is stored in a Supabase-hosted Postgres database — both third-party providers with their own privacy practices. To power “Ask” and search, document content may be sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate responses and embeddings. This project doesn’t sell data, run ads, or use your content for anything beyond making these features work.
